Faith for Salvation—Faith for Healing

October 1

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise… But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. —Romans 10:6-9

This passage of Scripture tells you not only how to be saved, but also how to be healed. Notice what Paul says in verse 6: "But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh…." Faith always speaks. What you say is your faith speaking. I don't mean just what you say once, but what you say over a period of time. Then in verse 8, Paul asks, "But what saith it?" What does the righteousness which is of faith say? "The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart." Faith has to be in two places: in your heart and in your mouth. Verse 9 goes on to say, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth…." You may say, "I don't believe in Bible confessions." If you don't, you have to throw out the whole book of Romans. You may argue, "But that verse is talking about salvation." Yes, I know, but the same faith that got you saved will get you healed. You just have to take your faith and point it in a different direction. Remember, Jesus said, "All things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23.)

Confession: God's Word in my heart and in my mouth says Jesus is my healer. I speak healing to my body, and according to my faith, it will be done unto me.
