ANSWERS TO WEEK 1 QUESTIONS
In your own words, explain why it is so important to view prayer as a relationship (Matthew 22:37; John 17:3 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-4)
I truly believe it show our love for God, our surrender to His will, and plan. It also reveals our trust in Him. Also, it strength our relationship with Him.
What does it say to God when you choose to make little time for Bible reading and prayer?
We don't love Him as much as we say we do, and we don't want to be alone with Him to build our relationship with Him.
What is the common denominator in almost every life greatly used by God?
A powerful prayer life
Explain the three reasons we must make an absolute commitment to spend significant time alone with God.
Because Satan fears intercession more than anything else and fights prayer like no other area of our life. He does do for so many reasons; Our flesh always resists the development of a powerful prayer life; the world's system of human strength and promotion is the direct opposite of God's ways. Also because God desire time alone with us as He did with Adam in the cool of the day.
How would you define a biblically balanced prayer life? Why is a balanced prayer life so important?
A biblical balanced prayer life is when you apply all the five prayer types such as praise, thanksgiving and worship, confession and repentance, petition and supplication, intercession, meditation with listening and reflection. Our prayer life will be strong not weak, and not unbalanced. If you consistently neglect any of the five types of prayer, your relationship with God will be limited.
