Questions:
1). What standards in our Christian life should we get back to?
We need to get back to some good old-fashion virtues of God's honesty and integrity. We need to pray more and reverent God's plan more in our life.
2). What was the Sermon on the Mount?
The Sermon on the Mount was a sermon Jesus preached on the mount for people to live by God's grace and mercy. We are no longer under the Law, but grace.
3). What is the Lord's Prayer to us?
It is a guide to prayer, not just to repeat carelessly, but to reverent it in our hearts with a cry.
4). Is the Lord's Prayer for today?
Yes, the Lord's Prayer is a model for us to pray today, it teaches us what our focus should be when praying.
5). Do we have to bang on the door to get God to hear us?
No, that is not what the Word of God teaches us; ask and you will receive according to God's will and plan for your life. We must believe when we ask as Mark 11:24 says.
6). How is asking, seeking, knocking a part of worship?
In the Bible we are encouraged to pray the three-fold promise of God, because this is a promise from God to His children, which is a part of worshipping Him through our prayers daily, so He can provide for us.
7). The Lord's Prayer was given to avoid what?
The Lord's prayer was given to avoid vain repetition words; God want us to know He heard us the first time, when we do this it's not about God hearing us, but men who are around us at that time.
8). Have you prayed with persistency lately?
Yes, I just did over the weekend with my sisters and a niece who were about to get on a plan according to God's leading.
9). Since you started this study have anything in your prayer changed?
Yes! Yes! Yes! I am praying more, and straight to the point, not over and over again as though God can't hear or understand our heart's thoughts; He knows! Amen. I am coming into God's presence now with more worship and praise because He knows.
