Sharing Week # 5


My Assignment: Questions:

1).     Focusing on what we are reading in the Bible provides us with what?

This provides us with clarity when we enter into prayer.

2).    Read Psalm 119:27, and answer these questions (Why is this passage important? What do I need to know? What does it say about God? What does it say about me? How does this reading point to Jesus?)

Psalm 119:27 "Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works."

Why is this passage important? It's important because when we pray or meditate we should ask God for understanding in His Word.

What do I need to know? We need to know clearly what God is saying to us personally.

What does it say about God?  In God's Word there are guidelines and His works is wonderful.

What does it say about me? It says I should meditate on God's Word, and I should speak of His Word.

How does this reading point to Jesus? It is pointing to Christ Jesus by the wondrous work God did when He sent Jesus to earth.

3).    Spend some time right now and meditate on all the good things God has done for you.

Glory to God, Hallelujah, Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, I worship You Lord Jesus for all You have done for me.

4).    What is your favor worship scripture?

Psalm 1oo, and many more.

5).    What should be our desire in meditation?

We should desire to get closer to God, to gain understanding of His Word, to use wisdom in the knowledge of His Word.

6).    what do we do when meditation seems impossible, when our focus is affected by outside circumstances and our hearts feel dulled to God's Word.

We ask God to renew our mind, and to stay focus on His help in His Word, and through the Holy Spirit of God.   

7).    Read Philippians 4:8; name and explain everything we are to think on.

(Whatsoever things are true.) God's Word; if it's not true don't think on it.

(Whatsoever things are honest.) God's Word; if it's not honest don't think on it.

(Whatsoever things are just.) God's Word; if it's not just don't think on it.

(Whatsoever things are pure.) God's Word; if it's not pure don't think on it.

(Whatsoever things are lovely.) God's Word; if it's not lovely don't think on it.

(Whatsoever things are of good report) God's Word; if it's not of good report don't think on it. God wants us to meditate on His Word, which is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report.

8).    What can be exchanged for worry and anxiety?

When we meditate on God's Word we can exchange worry and anxiety for the peace of God through the powerful process of thinking the right thoughts.

9).    How to overcome the evil things the enemy bring to our minds?

We do this by meditating on the right things.

10).  Meditating on God's Word help us to get rid of what?

This may same simple, but it works by getting rid of bad thoughts.
