BIBLE STUDY: “KNOWING GOD’S WILL” Week # 8

 "Step Out on the Word"

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. [Jesus] spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam…He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. —John 9:1, 6, 7

Here was a man who had been blind from birth. Jesus walked over to him, spit in the dirt, made clay of the spittle, smeared the clay on the man's eyes, and said, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam." That man could've said, "What do You mean, 'go wash in the pool of Siloam'? Look, Jesus, I don't need a bath—I need my sight! What is mud going to do? Everyone will laugh at me. I'm waiting for You to work a miracle here." Instead, He obeyed what Jesus told him to do with no feeling and no manifestation. Every symptom was still there; he was still blind. The only difference was he now had mud in his eyes. But Jesus said, "Go," and the man went. Jesus gave him an opportunity to walk by faith, and the blind man took off on the Word of God alone. That was his faith in operation. He went, he washed, and he came again seeing. But he had to step out on the word Jesus spoke before he saw results—and that's how he got results. Find out what God has said about your situation, and then step out on that Word. Let your faith release God's power in your life.

My Confession: I take God at His Word, even when I'm not able to see my answer. Jesus says I'm healed, so I am.

Please read these scriptures (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24; Psalm 103:3; Matthew 4:23, 8:3. Revelation 22:6.

Week #8:               Weekly prayer:

Father God, we come to You thanking You for blessing our nation today. We need You to guide our nation into peace and safety. Help our nation to continue to support the nation of Israel in Jesus' name. Help us, Lord, not to just say in God we trust, but to really trust You with all our hearts. Father God, help us to remember to give You thanks always, especially on Thanksgiving Day. Help us to reach out to our community, our family, our church, our nation, and to Israel too. We pray for the nation of Israel right now. Oh Lord, Send Your light into the darkness in this world. Prevent us getting into a war with Russia at any time. Stop the march of ISIS. Bring peace in the Middle East. And on our home front we pray for righteousness and mercy. We pray for a stop of abortion. Bless the efforts of those who are standing for life. And, Lord, we pray for our country to accept those Iraqi Christians who are asking asylum. Forgive our president for ignoring their pleas. Help our nation to change and stand with Israel, in Jesus' Name, Amen
